Private online yoga classes.
Live, one to one, anywhere.
Live, one-to-one yoga with one teacher — taught from India, practised wherever you happen to be. Twelve sessions a month, shaped to your body, and changing as your body does.
Real time, with one teacher. Not a recording.
This isn't a video library or an app with a rotating cast of instructors. It's a live call, at an agreed time, with the same person each week — someone who can see you, hear you, and shape the hour around what you tell her.
Two-way, in real time
We meet on a live video call. You're seen and heard as you practise — never a prerecorded sequence you press play on alone.
Always the same person
Every session is with Shambhavi — never a marketplace of rotating teachers. Over time, she comes to know your body the way one only can with repetition.
Not a fixed sequence
The practice is built around your body and adjusted as it changes — not the same class run on a loop for everyone who signs up.
One hour, in three movements.
The shape of a private session, most weeks — read more about the method behind it.
You tell me where your body is today
Every session opens with a short check-in — sleep, stress, what's sore, what's changed since we last spoke. The hour is built from there.
Asana and breath, anatomy-led
Movement and pranayama, chosen for what you've just told me — not a sequence memorised in advance and repeated regardless of how you arrive.
Rest, or stillness
Most sessions close in Yoga Nidra or quiet stillness, so the body has somewhere to land before you go back to your day.
Built for a particular body. Or a particular life.
A group class suits many people better, and costs less — if a fixed weekly session with others sounds right for you, that's here. Private suits a narrower set of reasons. If one of these is yours, it's probably worth it.
An old injury, or a condition you're managing
A joint that's been operated on, a condition you're already seeing a doctor about, a body that's simply changed — the practice needs to be built around that, not adjusted for it afterwards.
A different time zone, or a city with no one you trust
Not every city has a teacher in this lineage. Online, in real time, closes that distance without asking you to compromise on who's teaching you.
You've tried prerecorded yoga and need to be seen
If an app or a video series left you guessing whether you were doing it right, this is the difference — someone watching, in the moment, who can actually answer.
Taught from India. Practised wherever you are.
Students join from other cities in India and from other countries entirely. Wherever you're writing in from, this works the same way — you don't need to be near Pune to work with a teacher from this lineage.
A living lineage, taught from Pune
Shambhavi trains and teaches within the Bihar School of Yoga lineage, from her home in Pune, India.
Practised from wherever you are
Students outside India are welcome. All you need is a stable video call — the practice travels; the lineage doesn't need to be local to reach you.
Scheduled around you
Shambhavi teaches on Indian Standard Time. Your sessions are agreed together, so they sit sensibly inside your day, wherever that day begins.
Where, how often, how much.
Live, on Google Meet
Wherever you have a quiet corner and a stable connection — no app to install, no account to create.
Twelve sessions a month
Roughly three a week, on a standing rhythm set together — close enough together that the body remembers between sessions.
$499 a month
All twelve sessions. In person in Pune instead? That's ₹18,000 a month.

Shambhavi. Fifteen years in this work.
Every private session, online or in Pune, is taught by Shambhavi directly — read more about her training and how she works.
Bihar School of Yoga
Trained within this lineage, which grounds the practice in tradition rather than trend.
M.Sc. in Yoga Science
Formal study behind the practice, alongside the lineage — anatomy and tradition, held together.
Around fifteen years teaching
Fifteen years of watching bodies move, and learning what each one actually needs.
Before you write in.
The questions that come up most, answered plainly.
Is it live, or recorded?
Live only. Every session is a real-time, two-way video call with Shambhavi — never a prerecorded video, an app, or a class you press play on alone.
I'm not flexible, and I've never done yoga. Can I still start?
Yes. Most people who write in have never practised before, or stopped years ago. The practice is built to meet the body you have now, not the one you think you should have.
What do I need?
A mat, a bit of clear floor space, and a phone or laptop with a camera and a stable connection. Nothing else to buy or install.
I'm outside India. How do time zones work?
Shambhavi teaches on Indian Standard Time. When you write in, we work out session times that sit sensibly inside your day — this is arranged together, not fixed to a single slot.
What does it cost from outside India?
The price on this page is already in your own currency — pounds, euros or US dollars outside India — and it's paid by card. Twelve sessions a month, the same everywhere.
I have an injury or a medical condition. Is that a problem?
Tell me before we begin, and I'll ask regardless — it shapes what we do together. This isn't a replacement for medical care: if you're managing an injury, a medical condition, or you're pregnant, please speak with your doctor as well.
How is this different from the group class?
The group class is live online too, at a fixed weekly time, for $80 a month — a good, affordable place to start. Private is built entirely around your body and your schedule, with Shambhavi's full attention for the hour.
What if I miss a session?
Life happens. Let me know ahead of time when you can, and we'll do what we can to find another time within the month.
How do I start?
Try a free demo class first, with no cost and no commitment, or write in and we'll talk before anything is booked. If you're ready, you can also begin directly.
